    Description

Beautiful tight knot Alaskan yellow cedar SEAL paddle (decorative, not made for use)
fully hand painted ON BOTH SIDES by master artist Stan Wamiss, originating from Quatsina, raised in Kingcome Inlet, BC. Stan was born 1947 and is the son of the highest ranking chief in Kingcome Inlet Tom Patch Wamiss.
The painting is so detailed and powerful. close to perfect, clean and vibrant. Stan decorated the middle part of the paddle with felt and feathers, the yellow cedar is gorgeous and shows a few knots which just adds to the beauty of it. Stan clearly is a master of this art and pays so much attention to tradition and history.
